Planter is a leader, innovator, strategist, facilitator, and military pilot that believes everyone has valuable ideas.  Planter’s focal areas include space strategy, great power competition, understanding adversary thinking and decision-making processes, and facilitating strategic conversations.  

 

Planter brings diverse perspectives to the table, to include bomber aviation, combat aviation leadership, enterprise-level innovation in a large bureaucracy, connecting strategy and operations, and strategic applications.

 

Planter practices life-long learning in an array of subjects.  His education and certifications include an undergraduate degree in Applied Physics, graduate degrees in European History and Military Strategy, a graduate certificate in Facilitation, certification as an Airline Transport Pilot, and training from Harvard and Stanford in innovation, design thinking, and leading organizational change.
