Meet Slip

Catalyst and Facilitator

Rob "Slip" Smith is a catalyst and facilitator with over 20 years of combined experience in leading change and organizational renewal.  He is a founding member of Project Everest, a strategy design and facilitation team that specializes in infusing creativity into dull strategy development methods and using design-inspired facilitation to help teams unlock their creative potential. He has helped teams from the U.S. Air Force, the U.S. Marine Corps, U.S. Space Command, DARPA, the Mitchell Institute for Aerospace Studies, and the Aspen Institute.

Slip’s educational background includes a MA in Science and Technology Intelligence from the National Intelligence University, an MPhil in Military Strategy from the School of Advanced Air and Space Studies, and executive education courses from Stanford, Harvard, and Georgetown focused on innovation and facilitation.

By embracing ambidextrous pathways and eliminating bureaucratic inertia, Slip’s personnel and professional goals are to continue to build experience in innovation methods and human-centered design in order to break through traditional barriers to change.
