Sarah Bakhtiari is a strategist and facilitator with over 20 years of combined experience in problem-solving, design, and leadership. She is a founding member of Project Everest, a strategy design and facilitation team that specializes in reimagining dull strategy development methods and using design-inspired facilitation to help teams unlock their creative potential. She has helped teams from the U.S. Air Force, the U.S. Marine Corps, U.S. Space Command, the U.S. Air Force Academy, the Mitchell Institute, and the Aspen Institute.

 

She is working on her first book, which seeks to provide design tools for strategy development inside the Department of Defense. Sarah has a doctorate in International Studies from the University of Denver’s Josef Korbel School. She currently teaches applied strategy and international relations for the U.S. Air Force School of Advanced Air and Space Studies.

 

Motivated by the belief that strategy is created by people for people, Sarah seeks to facilitate and design workshops that put people at the center of strategy development.
