Rob "Slip" Smith

I'm Rob, but most people call me Slip. I am an Air Force officer, serving over 23 years. My educational background includes a MA in Science & Technology Intelligence from NIU, MPhil in Military Strategy from the School of Advanced Air and Space Studies, and executive education courses from Stanford, Harvard, and Georgetown in Innovation and Facilitation. I have been married for over 19 years and have one daughter. When I’m not spending time with family and friends, I enjoy craft beer, bbq, and all things dealing with the zombie apocalypse. My personnel and professional goals are to continue to build experience in innovation methods and human-centered design in order to break through traditional barriers to change. By embracing ambidextrous pathways and eliminating the frozen middle, we can hope to bring about a brighter future, especially in the area of national defense. I look forward to collaborating with others on their respective journeys.
